“At the moment we use Kissbox DMX and MIDI Interfaces. We decided for Kissbox because these
interfaces can be integrated very well.
First there is the hardware side. Due to the power supply via PoE,compact sideracks can be built with PoE Switch. Thus all important interfaces are built into one rack and only need a power supply and a network cable to connect to the outside world. This cabling is much more robust than the many USB cables and plug-in power supplys you would have otherwise.
Second is the easy integration in our Show Control Software V-Control. In the first step we used the standard protocols to control the boxes such as Art-Net for DMX and the RTP-MIDI driver for the MIDI boxes. We have been using the Kissboxes for about a year, mostly at big car fairs for Mercedes and Volkswagen. With the MIDI interfaces we control sound consoles and sound effects. We use the DMX interfaces to control turntables. We have never had problems or failures.”
